Mazda CX-60: Our Most Powerful SUV Yet

December 8, 2022

Mazda has a new vehicle coming, and it’s next level. The CX-60 is the company’s most powerful SUV yet and their first PHEV (plug-in hybrid electric vehicle). With this ambitious debut into the luxury SUV space, Mazda plans to give European manufacturers a run for their money while giving those who are loyal to their brand more of what they love. The CX-60 breaks new ground for Mazda in terms of both technology and performance, with plug-in hybrid power and five driving modes.

Mazda’s most powerful car yet, it’s a premium option for Mazda fans who are looking for a little more from their next ride. But it should win some new converts as well. Faster to charge and lower in carbon emissions, this vehicle is equipped to set standards.

Mazda’s Intelligent Drive Select (Mi-Drive) offers five different driving modes that provide ultimate control on and off the road. Normal mode balances being easy on fuel with being easy on the driver and passengers, offering a sense of stability with Kinematic Posture Control (KPC). Sport mode gives you the full experience of the high-output engine and 8-speed automatic transmission. Off-Road mode uses the All Wheel Drive (AWD) system and Traction Control System (TCS) to keep you safe on snow or rough terrain. Towing mode allows you to more effectively pull a trailer, caravan or boat while EV mode brings the electric motor to the fore to keep your petrol prices down.

The Mazda CX-60 provides value for money, so every dollar you pay will be worth your while. If you’ve been scouting the car yards in Brisbane looking for a genuinely great deal on a high-performance vehicle, a Mazda CX-60 from Aspley Mazda could be right for you.

The Design

The CX-60 offers that unique Mazda style you may have come to appreciate, but with a more refined approach to the company’s Kodo design philosophy. Needless flourishes are stripped away leaving a bold but elegant appearance. Sculpted edges and bespoke colours reflect the light in alluring ways. Inside and out, the vehicle has a strong but calming presence.

Safety and serenity go hand in hand in the vehicle’s interior. Woven textiles and maple wood panels provide the cabin with a dignified and serene look that reflects the changes in lighting conditions. Electric seats feature both 3-stage heating and ventilation so you can control your settings with reassuring precision for optimal comfort.

Performance

The Mazda CX-60 comes with three unique hybrid engine options. One of them is Mazda’s very first plug-in hybrid and most powerful engine to date: the e-SkyActiv PHEV. Combining a 2.5 litre petrol engine, an electric drive motor and a battery pack in the floor, it packs enough power to take you from 0-100kms/h in 5.9 seconds.

The other two engines – six cylinder turbo-charged petrol and diesel – almost match it in terms of speed. Each are equipped with extra power from Mazda’s 48 VM hybrid boost technology, saving you on fuel.

A new eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-biased all-wheel drive system make the vehicle a pleasure to drive. The five driving modes allow you to easily adapt to any situation.

Innovative use of new technology makes the car a safer, more comfortable experience. The infotainment system and facial recognition software adapt the car’s settings to your ideal driving conditions. A 360° view monitor with rear sensors lets you spot any potential hazards so that you can manoeuvre into a flawless parallel parking position. Smart Brake Support (SBS), Mazda Radar Cruise Control (MRCC) and I-Adaptive Cruise Control all keep you safe by alerting you to dangers before accidents happen.

Value For Money

Everybody wants the best possible deal they can get, which is why you may be tempted to look for used cars in Brisbane when you need a new vehicle. For a luxury SUV, the CX-60 is affordable, and Mazda have been working hard to make sure its benefits and features make the price worthwhile. Prices range from approximately $59,800 to $87,252.

Fuel-efficient and rich in features, the CX-60 is inexpensive to run and worth its weight in features. Like all new Mazda vehicles, it comes with a five-year, unlimited warranty that covers all defects in parts and panels. Where can you buy it? Among the many retailers and car yards Brisbane-wide, one stand-out destination for Mazdas old and new is Aspley Mazda.
